Competitions

Competitions are an integral part of the Sarnia Photographic Club each month. Competitions not only give incentive for members to shoot new pictures, but also allow members to learn from one another's photos by discussing the strengths and opportunities for improvement of each entry.

To see the 2009 winning entries from the Sarnia Photographic Club's Annual Photo Contest, click here. (This is an annual contest open to both members and the public. This year's themes were "People" and "Close-ups".

Monthly Competitions

Members are encouraged to enter photographs monthly, one for each of the two categories. (Open and Nature categories will alternate each month and there will be a Monthly Theme category). The images are reviewed by a judging committee and shown at the next meeting, with the judges' critiques. The photographer is not identified, except for the top entries. Entries are due the first Friday following the monthly meeting.
