Annual Events
Hobbyfest - Sarnia Photographic Club participates in the annual event held at Centennial Park. Join over 45 Community Groups who come together to display and demonstrate a wide variety of hobby and leisure activities for the community to experience and enjoy. Exhibitions - An exhibition of members images is held annually at the Lawrence House. Outings
The Club organizes many photo outings each year to give the members the opportunity to get out and make images and learn from each other. Both local and out of town outings are offered. The outings are for members only. Education
Hands on Workshops are provided that cover understanding your camera. Other workshops cover basic camera settings and shooting using available light. Additional workshops could be provided prior to outings to the Canadian Raptor Conservancy. Night photography workshops are held each year. Beginner Lightroom workshops have also been presented. Learning Groups are held twice per month. These are small group discussions, with 12 to 15 participants. Participants bring digital images on a USB which are displayed on a screen for discussion. Helpful suggestions and group discussion is friendly and lively. |
